Bianca Sams receives the Tennesse Rep Ingram New Works Fellowship!

Recent MFA grad, Bianca Sams is apart of the 2014-15 New Works Fellowship at Tennessee Rep!  This prestigious opportunity is given to 4 playwrights per year and includes development help on a new play, a public reading and workshops with professional theater artists. 

Fun fact!(tell all your friendsss) Jeremy Sony(another OU alum) received this fellowship last year!

Jeremy Sony’s “Pathogenesis” streamed live Sunday on HowlRoundTVs Livestream Channel.

This Sunday night, May 11, a reading of OU Alum Jeremy Sony’s new play ‘Pathogenesis’ will be streamed live on the internet thanks to HowlRoundTV’s Livestream channel, http://www.livestream.com/newplay/ (visit the link and look for Upcoming Events).

Sunday, May 11
5pm PDT / 7pm CDT / 8pm EDT

Pathogenesis by Jeremy Sony.
Synopsis: A global pandemic, a dangerous cure, and a father / daughter relationship set to explode at the end of the world.

This reading is part of the Ingram New Works Lab at Tennessee Repertory Theatre in Nashville, where Sony has  been developing his new play during the 2013-2014 season.

Jeremy Sony & Garret Schneider’s Work Goes Up at Nashville’s 10-Minute Festival

Alumni, Jeremy Sony and Garret Schneider, have 10-minute plays that will be part of Playhouse Nashville’s 10-Minute Playhouse February 9 & 10 in Nashville.

Sony’s play is NEXT STOP CENTRAL STATION, and Schenider’s is EX-GIRLFRIEND IS THE CENTERFOLD.

Sony talks about his take on the classic Sleepy Hollow legend and his work with Tennessee Repertory Theatre and their Ingram New Works Lab.

Jeremy Sony Name Tenn Rep Ingram New Works Lab Playwright

Congratulations to one of our newest alums, Jeremy Sony; he was recently announced as one of the four 2013-2014 Ingram New Works Lab Playwrights at Tennessee Repertory Theatre! The program consists of monthly workshops, a lab symposium with this year’s Ingram New Works Fellow, Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Doug Wright, as well as a new works festival in May.
