Alum Mark Chrisler’s “Worse Than Tigers” Garners Two Accolades.
MFA Alum, Mark Chrisler‘s play WORSE THAN TIGERS has garnered two accolades. It’s been selected for The Stella Adler Studio’s First Breath Festival in New York. (The site for the festival isn’t full operational yet, but the link is to the main site.)
The play was also semi-finalist for The New American Voices Festival put on by the The Landing Theater in Houston!

This Friday, BOXCUTTER HARMONICA by alum J. Merrill Motz opens at the Minnesota Fringe Festival. BOXCUTTER HARMONICA is a collaboration between the Minneapolis-based playwright and his longtime friend, Chicago playwright Randall Colburn, shedding light on obsession, greed, greatness, and the devil’s singular fascination with collecting souls.
Award-winning Kennedy Play Heads Down Under
I’ll Hear It When I See It, the award-winning play by 3rd Year MFA Playwright Ira Gamerman has been selected for Short + Sweet Sydney’s 2012 10-minute play festival in Sydney, Australia. The play, seen at the Kennedy Center in January 2011, was shortlisted for several Short + Sweet festivals around Australia. From the Short + Sweet website: “Short+Sweet Sydney will produce 180 brand new 10 minute plays in Jan, Feb and Mar of 2012, never before seen in Sydney.
